A digital tool for exploring measurement machinery through interactive 3D models. I designed the platform and the experience throughout, focusing on making complex interactions easier and clearer to understand.
Exploring OGP's measurement machines from the original kiosk was a challenging experience for end customers. We redesigned the entire user flow and the platform, integrating it into OGP's website. I was in charge of the UX and interface design, balancing technical depth with usability and renovating the look and feel of their brand along the way.
The challenge
OGP had been struggling with their kiosk tool for a while because of usability issues, low performance times and out-of-date content. This tool, meant to assist salespeople during tradeshows, was coming short and required a revamp. The goal was to optimize the experience while tying it to the company’s website so that it wasn’t simply an exploration tool but it could integrate directly with their sales process and lead generation efforts.

The research
This project allowed us to approach tasks from a different starting point. While we usually focused on the client´s expectation and aimed to fulfill what they were asking, this time we decided to expand our research to include their current website flow and to map out personas with the help of AI. This meant creating fictional people to interview them and conduct testing rapidly, which all translated into a user flow diagram that integrated both the website’s and the kiosk’s user flow. It was this diagram that refined the experience for the user by dividing the tasks appropriately and clearing the kiosk’s functionality within the entire ecosystem.

Design decisions
Taking into consideration that the client’s website had required some refreshing and this tool was meant to reflect their efforts to look and present themselves as a modern, tech-first company, I took this project as a playground to redesign entirely their visual identity from some specific guidelines: preserving the key distinctive elements from their brand and repurposing them in a cleaner system. The kiosk ended up maintaining their typefaces and colors, but complemented them with a set of shades that provided depth and lighting and graphic elements that supported the leaner layout and represented the idea of measurement without adding clutter or confusion.


Testing GenAI
This project became an opportunity to test how could we integrate AI into our work. First, during the design phase, we decided to test Claude Design as a rapid prototyping tool. We were able to explore the different interactions and layouts to solve the way we would present a menu inside a tool that would have to exist within a website that already had not just one, but two different menus. Claude Design successfully provided a structure that we could replicate and refine in Figma in a matter of hours. Then, we used Adobe Firefly to develop the industry backgrounds for the kiosk. Our team had previously developed contextual images for other content for OGP that the client wanted to repurpose for this but we ran into an issue because these images were too crowded and rendered the visibility difficult. Using Firefly allowed me to clean and complete the different images for all industries and to make sure that they all fitted into the same angle, area and perspective.




The Outcome
OGP’s Kiosk was received enthusiastically by the client. Not only we fixed the performance issues that the previous tool had but we were able to create a more welcoming and intuitive user experience and connect it to specific touchpoints across their overall sales strategy. Additionally, the visual redesign proposed for this project ended up becoming the reference for the website’s redesign for coming projects. Using the kiosk design, we redesigned the product pages as these are the main entry points for the kiosk tool, simplifying their layout and refreshing their online presence.
