A website redesign for a medical manufacturing company. I structured the component system across all pages and explored new tools and interactions to improve user experience.
Improving Noble's communication through their website required an exploration of new interactions across the site and the creation of a modular system that adapted to their content without requiring specific tailoring along the way. I led the design system production and the conceptualization and execution of the different modules, and also explored generative AI as a tool to support media production for the site.
The Challenges
Noble came to us requiring a website redesign that presented two challenges for the design team: On one hand, their previous website was very consistent and faithful to their brand and, on the other hand, they required a modular approach to the website in order to be able to reproduce pages and new content easily. I led the efforts in systematizing the entire creative concept that was presented and establishing components and rules to make sure that the modules were scalable and editable without breaking.

Adapting the design
Considering that there was already a good benchmark in their previous site, the team started by creating a concept that would take advantage of the rich palette of Noble’s brand and a stronger sense of hierarchy in the layout. My role afterwards was translating these creative ideas into the other modules, preserving the original look and feel and making sure that we would not repeat what already existed in the client’s site and mind.

Creating a system
These efforts led to the creation of an entire module repository, responsive module versions and color themes that could be applied across the site as preferred. I focused on standardizing all modules and connecting everything through variables and styles, which reduced the development times of the website and allowed us to alter complex modules to very diverse sets of content without having to break the system or tailor each task to a new set of rules.

First steps with GenAI
Parallel to the design efforts, I worked on an introductory video for Noble’s homepage that represented their production process and the goal of serving users during their medical device training. For it, I proposed the concept through a simple storyboard created directly in Figma, using the native animations. This storyboard ended up becoming the central resource for the video, as I exported stills from it and used Adobe Firefly to animate a series of transitions between them that I then edited into the full video.

The Learnings
Noble ended up being a project based on efficiency and abstract thinking, that demanded a different approach and a process built on discipline as well as creativity. Both the team and the client were satisfied with the result as it provided a renewed look and feel for the brand and an optimized process for the development of the entire project. Including the use of GenAI during the design of the site was a great asset in the end that allowed me to add a new tool to my skills and delivered a well-received product in the end.
